Chelsea legend John Terry has lauded the defensive duo of Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva for their impressive performances at the heart of the Blues defence this season. John Terry used his Instagram story to laud the two Chelsea defenders as he praised their defensive solidity which has led the club to win a couple of trophies over the past one year. With Rudiger and Silva in the Chelsea defence, the West London giants have won the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup over the course of the last one year.

On Rudiger, John Terry admired the passion the German international shows for Chelsea and that he loves to see it. He added that the former AS Roma centre back is a great player and that Chelsea are lucky to have him at the club. During his playing days, Ex-Chelsea skipper John Terry was also known as a passionate players. He led the Blues to win several trophies before leaving the club to sign for Aston Villa as a free agent. The Englishman retired from football after one season with Villa when they were in the English Championship some years ago.

On Brazil international Thiago Silva, John Terry said he would have loved to play with him and that it is unbelievable for him to be playing so well at the veteran stage of his career. He also said Chelsea are lucky to have him at the club. The Englishman is a big fan of Thiago Silva and how he plays his game in a simple way without taking any risk.

John Terry took to his official Instagram to praise both Thiago Silva and Rudiger after they kept a clean sheet during the London Derby win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League last weekend. Moroccan star Hakim Ziyech scored late in the game to give Chelsea a 1-0 away win over the Eagles.
